owlfanatic
I have nt seem the tape yet but was that a late hit on the QB or not?? I just saw him laying on the ground and caught the tail end of it but i thought it was clean hit.........Farragut coach acted like a idiot and got kicked out after getting 2 flags thrown on him, i understand taking up for your players but that was a little over board. It did look like a late hit, but their coach going bezerk was just wrong. He was obviously frustrated. What example do he set for his players to be escorted off the field by the police? I know some will get on here and claim "home cooking", but other than that one possibly missed call, I think the refs were pretty consistent. The Owls went out on a mission tonight and they accomplished what alot of people didn't expect. Great job Owls!!! Let's get ready for Oak Ridge. On another note, the band was great tonight and their performance at half time was very good.
Bassmanbruno
Wouldn't matter if the game were called fairly or not. Ooltewah wins this game big with or without bad refs.
Batdog
This is a good point, but lets think back to Farragut's offense last year...can you say...UNO DIMENSIONAL? Poor Andre runnin against 9 in the box everytime, brings back sad, sad memories... but THIS year! The offense is stacked, run and pass, and they destroy worlds. That is all. Yeah, right
cooterhooter
I don't think that's what he was saying with the hand gestures. Atleast not according to the CSS announcers. They were saying he meant it was a sign of respect and it wasn't anything against Benny - just that he was sticking up for his players. That was my initial thought as well... but I'm not sure. I heard Coach Courtney went into the Owls locker room after the game and apologized. He is a class act, he just lost it tonight, it can happen to the best of us in a weak moment. I am sure he would love to have those few minutes back with a "do over". Good job Owls keep it up! One game at a time don't get caught looking past anyone. VOID70
Where are farragut fans on here? Farragut was a joke!! Fatsak said someone was going to run into the biggest buzzsaw,ever...well farragut got chopped up,beat-up,stomped into the ground at the nest. Normally,I wouldn't say anything real arrogant or cocky, but after listening to 2 or 3 of these AD-fans brag and talk trash,I'm getting my 2 cents in.Anyway,it was not a late hit,PERIOD!!!....even,if it was it had no effect on the out come of the game.POLK looked very good(O-LINE blocked really well all night),Brady did O.K. 87 yds..1 td,probably the greatest game,he ever had(sad, but true) GINO NORWOOD made Reed look good several times.,.especially when Gino got upended and about broke his neck.Good thing about Reed tonight was he didn't throw an int.Monroe lead him along and let him manage the game. The offense was sucessful because the defense keep them on a short feild,so the owls could run and control the clock. If anyone thinks this isn't one of the best defenses in the state, they are crazy. If,we can throw just enough(like tonight)DOWN the feild to take some heat off the run game, the OWLS can go deep into the playoffs. remember,1 game at a time..tonight was awesome, but owl fans can't get over confident(don't crown anyone the best, yet) GO OWLS!!!! TRUST ME....thats not what he was saying, he was right in front of me!!!!!!!!! CSS dont know what there talking about! Why was it so late when the back ups got in for the Owls? I would of liked to have seen the back ups play at least a quarter just to see how they would stand up with the big boys.

One game at a time don't get caught looking past anyone. He did just have a meltdown along with most of the team at the end of the game. He is a great guy and a great coach. It is hard to get whipped like that. lovehsfootball
ok...three plays? look at the heritage game and the other and u will see. and if he gives it away so much, then why does he always complete the pass for either a touchdown or a big gain? Reese is one of the best high school quarterbacks i have ever seen at running the play action pass... HIS FAKES ARE SICK!!!!! check out the one against WB from the I-formation...can u say D-I-R-T-Y! hard to run the play action from your back. He will be SICK tomorrow and very sore. The only thing D-I-R-T-Y was his uniform. and helmet.

1998graduateoftellico
I was hoping to see a good game, but I was pleased that the corn fed country bumpkins put a tail kicking on suburb kids. Wow, what a smack in the mouth. Farragut, just like all 4A and 5A Knoxville schools is overrated big time.
