GO BIG RED!!!(maybe next year.......again)

Congrats on a great season...it did sound like a game of effort online. Outstanding effort. What about that quarterback...he was so awesome in the game against the Vikings last week.

yea matthews i believe his name is. that kid's a heck of a football player. one of the toughest runners we've played all season if not the toughest. also threw some bombs tonight. is he a senior or junior?

who cares if he is a junior or senior they suck and they are going to loose next week

Patfan0708..........quit posting...........you're an idiot! The Gallatin QB is extremely talented and plays hard! If you don't think so...then you weren't at the same game that I was!

Cody Matthews is a Senior....So is Enriques (#9).

Great game. One of the loudest high school games I had ever attended. Only thing I didn't like was the police siren and lights..got a little annoying after about 5 minutes haha. Gallatin has already beaten Beech 7-0 in the season...who knows?

Wow!! I never expected that kind of outcome but the Wave was very business-like tonight. After a very controversial 1st quarter the Green Wave finally got the ball rolling in their corner. That first TD that was called back was a horrible call. Gallatin overcame the adversity and settled down and played even ball the rest of the half and then took over in the second half. The Sims kid was very elusive and I can see why he was as good as everybody was talking about. The kicking game also was a big factor like I thought it would be. I have never seen in any football game 3 penalties assessed on the kickoff. Satterfield had some really strong punts that got the Gallatin team out of some holes. Matthews had another great game and Perry was solid like always. Really happy with the young defense stepping up again!!! Those guys have really come together this year.

Henry County, ya'll were great hosts! Great atmosphere and I really like the stadium and the introductions before the game. Your fans were very loud and most important very gracious after the game. I have never been told before, congratulations and have a safe trip back right after an emotional loss. Very classy!!

Can't wait to see the stats from this game!! Well Beech round 2, maybe it will be dry this time.

8-) Beat NE 2 td's, and it appears NE is better than Gallatin so I stand by my post! As my grandma would say the proof is in the pudding! Remember this post after the game! :excl: HC 35 GWAVE 12

Well you were close, you must predict scores often. one thing you were right about tho was that it was a laugher we are all laughing at you.

The rest of the Henry Co fans great game and amazing atmosphere.

Well, I really don't know what to say. I am very sad for the seniors, but also very mad for the BIG RED NATION. I thought this was our shot to win it all. Congrats to Gallatin on a great game and I must give them credit for not losing it all when they fell behind. As for the Big Red, this is a product of a easy schedule. Gaddis it is time to schedule someone. I know that Liberty was a pretty tough team, but they are 4A (I think). I know they are not five or six A. Humboldt is a one A team. Our district is a joke around the state so why not schedule some competition. I think Gallatin had been in tough situations before and we had not. Their players knew how to respond when they got behind. I must sit here and eat all the crap that I have been talking. Oh well, I will be fine, but will the Big RED? That is the major question. We could not do it last year with two players that are now starting in the SEC and we couldn't do it this year with more talent then any of our opponents. What will the future hold besides winning district 10? Maybe some of the people on here are correct. District 10 was a joke.

I know I am mad and I will get over it and probably hate what I posted. But, this is how I feel! :excl:

    • I've always been a football fan first and then if you have a band that's awesome. No question that DB has one of the best bands in the country and the whole region should attend at least one DB game just to see their band. I don't know if Nick Saban could come to Kingsport and build a football program that could match the Dobyns Bennett band's success. That said,as mentioned before, a couple of things would have to change in order for the Tribe to just win a state championship on the field.Besides a program that starts from the peewee teams and goes all the way to J Fred with all coaches and weight training { in time }on the same page. Sometimes it also takes a little luck like the 1998 Vols .There are a lot of great athletes at a lot of big schools around the state and just because you want something doesn't mean your going to build a program like Alcoa has. Yes,start at the bottom and have guys that are quality coaches teaching at every level is 100% the first step. Parents can make it a lot easier by getting their young athletes into an early start with conditioning and weights as well when they are old enough to lift.If your son is a man in the weight room before he gets to DB , then it won't take a "Dobbs" coach to make him competitive against other schools athletes when it comes to strength.
