Grad, you cannot seem to get JB fans to compare the two teams.I read where someone said that he did not think that WC could be 30 points better this year. Well we may not have to be 30 points better if JB is not as good. I know 44 is for real, but he had lots of room last year. Also we always talk about there offence but by the looks of the scores there defense is just as strong. Someteam outthere that has played JB is reading this, what about the OL, lets here it.

Since JB made it to the finals last year I will go strictly with that and say they have more experience in big games.. It should be a dandy and I'll take JB by 7..

It's hard to tell or not about the OL & DL as far as being better than last year. WC has 3 new starters on the OL & 3 on the DL from last year's team. I think the older guys are a lot better than they were last year and the new starters are playing well and have improved since game 1. WC LBs are hitters and have played really well this year, but all in all we have not faced JB this year and in the past I've been very impressed with JB's OL & DL. They have always seemed bigger & stronger than WC's and have usually pushed us around pretty good. What about this years OL & DL for JB is it better than last years and are they as big as last years?

On the offensive line, I really haven't seen any drop off from last year. Now it's sometimes hard to tell when you have 44 running the ball but they look good to me. Harpeth had one heck of a line and although we didn't set the world on fire, we held our own and only allowed 1 tackle for a loss that I can remember. Now on the D-line, early in the season I don't think we made nearly as many plays as we did last year. As of late, we seem to be making more and more plays in the backfield. I think the guys have really started coming in to their own.

Should be a great game and I will indeed make the long haul for this game. Game should come down to turnovers and special team plays. Matchups on the defensive side will pose problems all night for both squads. Good luck to both for great game and hopefully injury free. All players I hope leave it on the field and take nothing home but satisfaction. Shep, are you coming to game? If so, I would like to meet you.

My only worry is that JB has big plays and WC gets down on themselves, but from what I can tell they've done a good job in staying focused and not giving up. In the first meting against C'wood everytime they scored, WC went down field and scored again to keep them in the lead. As far as the D goes if they can limit the big plays like they did against PC then we have a chance. If we can't limit #44 then its gonna be up to our Ofense to out score them and that will be tough. Lets Go Cats have a good week of practice and get aggressive. Go Cats. :popcorneater:

Agreed, I have seen JBS 3 times this year I believe that they are a better all-around team than last year. Offensively they are much better b/c of LK, #34, and a few younger players who have emerged, but even more so b/c their passing game is much better than it was last year. The thing is they have just not had to pass that much all year. Defensively I believe they started the season behind where they were last year but now they are at worst on the same level. The thing about limiting LK to big plays is that it is only half the battle. He is the type of back that can burn you w/ big plays or if need be pound it down the field 4-5 yards at a time. They are going to be a very tough team to beat in my estimation and the 1st team w/ the personel to do it IMO will be either Huntungton/UC next week and I personally do not believe they will do it either.....

My prediction:

JBS - 42

WC - 21 (maybe 24)

I'd love to see this game, but I'm going to the creekbank friday nite. It's much closer. Rice kid has very good arm. Saw him at camp at AP this summer. Don't know what kind of team he has around him. We had a very good QB and JB shut him down after 2 drives in our scrimmage. ER had a very good passing attack and JB beat them. I like JB but I expect WC to give em a good game. Good luck to Coach Rice, Big Kevin and Scott.

I have no doubt he'll be there. Just follow the fence line and look for a dufus looking guy with "Michael Meyer" coveralls on. He'll be standing beside a bookworm looking guy with skinny legs (Moto) and a overweight guy with goat crap on his boots (Logger). You can't miss em!......

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
