Gee with the spelling on the Cow and this Starsnbars I think West may need to concentrate on Language and Spelling Classes and forget about Sports. Making fun of AC thinking they are a bunch of hicks may be the wrong thing to do to bunch of Country Boys. You know what I mean, Cowboy! :twisted:

Don't waste your time Mavsinflight, they're Mairvulle peeps. Not Knox West. They feel more useful spraying on this thread than being concerned about Bearden again.

 

You guys sure are sensitive , where does this hostility towards Maryville come from ? I like everything about Anderson County myself . Nice offense and nice coaches . Lighten up a little guys , Maryville will be there cheering for you in Cookevile IF we both make it there .

We're not just sensitive, we're hypersensitive! I personally like Maryville. I enjoy reading all the posts on ET teams and can't help but notice that some of you Maryville posters are a lot like us, calling anybody who is critical a hater. :flower: So I'm just having fun bantering with the Maryville Mafia. You know who you are.

 

 

I think Stars has shot a few interlope before.

Why did AC steal their teams' nickname from South Park?

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
