ESPN came out with their All SEC team today. Their 2 recievers were Alshon Jeffery from SC and Julio Jones from AL. They did create a 12th position on offense called All Purpose and Randall Cobb earned that honor. No player from TN was selected although Denarius Moore was considered. Congrats to Randall!!

Three All-SEC first team list, AP, Coaches, and Phil Steele all have Randall Cobb on the First team! TN had two Defensive players on the second team. Moore was not listed on all three............ :bored:

Yeah they had Cobb listed as all purpose player... You really think Moore would get first team receiver with Jones, Jeffery, Green, and Adams all in the same conference? Don't make a fool of yourself.

Field Goal Phil was notorious about letting backyard talent go on to other D1 Schools...

Toki McCray-NC St (Didnt pan out)

Nick Black-Clemson (3/4 year starter)

Ryan Maples-Marshall (3/4 year starter?)

Randall Cobb-Kentucky (God)

Kyrus Lanxter-Kentucky (Starter)

Cade Thompson-South Carolina (Saw playing time, transferred)

Brandon Warren-Florida St (Freshman All American)

Tyler Robinson-Kentucky (Freshman Starter)

Carl Stewart-Auburn (2/3 year Starter)

Don't forget Chad Pennington from Webb

If Nick Reveiz had not have walked on he would have been playing at Miss St or some other program. He was lucky enough to have the Money to walk on and earn his position.

I don't think that Moore deserves 1st team honors and it would be a strech to give him a place on the 2nd team considering the competition. I was just informing UT fans about the ESPN selections. I would take Cobb over Moore any day.

You are digging yourself in a deeper hole, trying to cover your butt corn'r?!

You said in a earlier post that Moore was the best player on the field in the TN/KY game. Looks like the POLLS said different...............so, who's the FOOL! :thumb:

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
