do you guys think if alcoa would have played a 6a schedule throughout the whole year that they still woulda won it this year? just fantasizing them being in 6a this year and wondering if they still coulda ran the table?

myself, i think they still could have, just me though... thoughts?

Doesnt matter. Alcoa is a 3A school and nothing is going to change that.

6A would have provided tougher games week in and week out games, which would have made us a better team. I like us running the table in 6A as much as anyone. Many good teams in 6A though

Like said earlier, would provide bigger schools weekly, but we beat the #1 team in the state in 6A on thier field. If you are asking if we would have played Maryville, William Blount, or Heritage's schedule this year(those are the 3 local 6A schools) and still ran the table...since we beat Maryville head to head already, we would have atleast finished ranked #1 in the state and 10-0 going into playoffs. There was nobody on thier schedules that we would not have beaten. Then in the playoffs, it would have been the winner of the Maryville vs Alcoa playoff game playing Smyrna for the state championship. At worst, we would have finished atleast 11 or 12 and 1(IF Maryville would have won the playoff game) or we would be preparing for Smyrna sitting at 14 - 0. Out of all the teams that have playeed in the state championship so far, I do not see Alcoa having too close of a game with any of them. I have not seen Smyrna play this year, but would imagine that they are very good. Not saying that those teams are not good, cause they are all great teams...its just that this years Alcoa team is so good. Should be very good next year too!

There was representatives of Ky and Fla. at the Alcoa championship game looking at Tyson, Warren, and Isom

Tyson and Warren committed to UT-Chattanooga, joining McCallie's Jarrod Coleman and Baylor's Jacob Huseman in pledging to the Mocs. Huge weekend for Chattanooga!!!!! Those are four of the state's best.

I saw Randy Sanders at breakfast the morning after the Alcoa game. He said he wasn't sure how many games he would watch on Saturday. That tells me he must have been there for a game on Friday.

When they annex Eagleton and Rockford into Alcoa they will be 6A. Heck most of the kids there now are from the county.
