QBClubPrez
I think you may be putting too much stock in district finishes. My understanding is that after the district champ, seedings are determined by tssaa rankings rather than district finish. according to the handbook....district runner ups get second priority. HTV
Jeff county might not make the playoffs, but they'll be hosting a playoff game if this stands. That game would most likely be played at Carson-Newman, not JCHS.
motownanddown
That game would most likely be played at Carson-Newman, not JCHS. I'm aware of that, I was referencig the fact that Carson-Newman is in Jefferson County.
THSVikings2004
I'm aware of that, I was referencig the fact that Carson-Newman is in Jefferson County. In a situations similar to this, does Mo East have the right to choose or does the highest seed usually play at home?
motownanddown
In a situations similar to this, does Mo East have the right to choose or does the highest seed usually play at home? I believe West will get to choose because they would be the higher seed. In 2006 West choose to play at Carson-Newman and let East play at Burke-Toney because the field conditions at Burke-Toney were awful. West ended up playing all 3 of their home playoff games at CN. But because of the new synthetic surface I think West would choose to stay in Morristown and let East travel for a home game in this situation. Burke-Toney has had serious renovations since 06 and is now almost as nice as CN's stadium.
DHSFB64
i'm still working really need the east craigmont score -------------------------------------------------------- Craigmont 49 - East 48 hmmm ..Craigmont moved up 10 spots from 31 ( possible out with a lost to Barlett this Friday )to 21 ( now they are in leaving Bartlett to need a win over Craigmont, while East reminds at 8 . I assume an East lost to WH wont alter their postion Edited October 25, 2011 by DHSFB64
SJohnston
I assume an East lost to WH wont alter their postion I believe you are right. Only way their position would be effected is if they beat Whitehaven (which is not likely - Whitehaven has given up 51 points in 9 games ). They win, I think they take the 2 seed with a Dyer County loss or the 3 seed with a Dyer County win. They lose, they take the 4 seed as Ridgeway will win their district when they beat down Collierville Friday.

Burke-Toney has had serious renovations since 06 and is now almost as nice as CN's stadium. This may be a moot point. East still must travel down to Sevierville on Friday to play the Smokey Bears and I just don't see the 'Canes coming away with a win down there. A loss would probably sink their right to a home game since they are already a 4th seed in Quad 1 this week. If both West and East are able to play their 1st round games at home, though, would the TSSAA allow one to play on Friday and the other play on Saturday? BTW, Quad 1 just got significantly tougher with the addition of Powell and Knox West.
