An impressive win by Dresden tonight in defeating McKenzie. With that said, I do have to ask what in the sam hill was the defensive coordinator for Dresden thinking when he got kicked out of the game with just over a minute remaining and your team dominating? That little move could end up costing Dresden as he will not be allowed to coach when Dresden plays Humboldt next week. Definately not the brightest move of the night.

Totally agree. Acted like an jackarse. I think he was upset b/c they threw the excessive celebration flag, which is the dumbest penalty in football. But still, I agree, up by alot. Suspended and $250!!

The ref on the sideline keeping time told the head referee that coach Hodge picked up flag on sideline and threw it. I was hoping he would still get to coach next week,didn't know the rule for sure.

Wow, Dresden blew them off the field! Was Dresden playing this good? Or, was McKenzie playing that bad? Or, both?

 

To concur with volsandtitans1 it was both. Dresden definitely played up tonight and the Rebels looked flat from BEFORE the opening whistle. Before we even got the opening whistle we went ahead and kicked the ball off to the Lions!!?? Once we got that right, our first defensive play was a "get some" for the Dresden RB and after that................................! "Turn out the lights, the party's over!" The Rebels were flat all night and who knows why? Now it's time to start getting ready for next season. My Rebels will be back and I still believe in them.

 

Congrats to Dresden tonight on the win. Impressive. About 25% of Humboldt's team was sitting right in front of me and they are a formidable looking bunch of young men. Good luck against them next Friday.

 

We'll be back to do business again next season and it will all start anew. Sorry that hogheaven didn't make it to the flagpole tonight. It was good to see Reitzfan again and met yousoangry and one of his buddies (sorry, can't remember his handle on here) too. It was all good. Well except the final score of course.

 

To build on that I guess all I can say is that Dresden faced a lot of 14-15 year olds tonight. Next season they will be for real once again.

 

 

Thanks for the ride this season Rebels. Your 12th man is still here with you.......get to work!!!!

      We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.

      Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.

      I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.

      I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
