Henry County Football 2013

You'll think their whole team is slow when you see BHS on the same field. We're waiting for you all.

Something is fishy with this guy^

He claims to be a Beech fan, yet all of his posts are about Henry County. I smell a troll. It's probably fastcat with a new username.

Big crowd at practice last night. It was the first time onthe field due to the rain and things were spirited but a little sloppy. Special teams portion was impressive;the punters were booming it and the place kickers were long and accurate. Over 100 kids dressed for varsity one of the largest groups ever. However, I hear that the Frosh numbers are down. More tonight at 6:30.

We are small and slow and that is not a good combo to put against the already self proclaimed 2013 5A champs. Saw today where your massacre of Station Camp will be shown on ESPN.I suppose that you guys figure you don't need a full week of prep for our little and slow Patriots. Not really fair to us since we will have less time for film study but it probably doesn't matter anyway--

Yeah, I heard we only had around 20-25 freshmen lifting this summer. Still some very good players in that bunch if some of the better ones stick with it, similar to last year's group of seniors. Hopefully the smaller numbers are just a blip on the radar. I'm curious to see how Inman and HC middle look this year.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
