Wow. Your right! That makes two comebacks for SC, in the history of this series. But lets not mention that DB leads this series by a bunch. Its all about those two comebacks. DB had the ball 34 minutes to SC's 13 minutes. DB had 449 total yardage to SC's 338. A late fumble by DB deep in their on territory gave SC the winning td. The ref's cheated DB out of a down in the forth quarter. Even after Clark had to waste a time out and proved to the ref's that it was 3rd. down and not 4th. down. The ref's refused to correct their mistake. DB had to punt when they should of had it third down. All this being said SC deserved to win the game. DB could not stop them on that last TD drive.

Any update on Sevier County #34?    He was carried off the field in the 4th qtr, appeared to be a knee injury and he was in a lot of pain.    Been praying for that young man......        If any SC fans are online please keep us updated on his condition, wishing him a speedy recovery

 

BTW, I'm certainly not a DB fan, but the zebras did cheat DB out of a 3rd down after the penalty.    But it would have been something like 3rd and 22 instead of 4th and 22.    By that point the Smoky Bears had pretty much throttled DB's run game and DB doesn't have much of a passing game, so it's doubtful they would have made a 1st anyway.      But as the poster mentioned earlier, they should have had that opportunity.       Zebras will be zebras .......        Game could have gone either way, great way to spend a Friday night watching a hard fought close game like this one

DB played with alot of heart in the game.Its evident that they don't pratice the 2 minute drill much.Lot of wasted time in the huddle at the end.

The bears played a great game. They have a good team.

Great game to watch with both teams giving it everything they had.Yep,the refs are human,but most can count to four at the high school level.I'm just glad they didn't blow the one play dead when Holt kept the ball on a long run and most everyone thought he had handed it off.The things that really got me were this.The stop on SC in the first half, and then we run into the kicker when he missed the dang field goal anyway.Back to back 15 yard penalties when DB had a chance to really drive the game out of reach late.Those kinds of things will beat you more times then not.

There's nothing bitter about my post. I was just statng the facts. Sevier Co. deserved to win that game. They didn't do it by luck. Tey are a top 5 team in 6A.

3rd & 22 is not that much of a stretch when the ball was going to be in the hands of Holt who had 246 yards rushing and 136 yards passing in the game. The "zebras" didn't cost DB the game though. I was just pointing out how stupid they were in that situation. They new they were wrong, Clark proved to them they were wrong and had to waste a time out doing so, and they still refused to do the right thing.

Had to miss another great game at Fred J. listened to it on radio. But glad Sevier come out of there with a victory. Hope these two meet again in the playoffs. Always a year in and year out thing anymore. These 2 in the playoffs. Won't be fulfilling if they do not meet again.
