Looked pretty ugly, but against a very good Catholic team. Govs playmakers were shut down all evening. Offense moved the ball decent when they were actually going down and distance. Kudos to Coach Ridge for scheduling a superb opponent for a meaningless scrimmage, hopefully the players use the loss to work harder before we see Loudon. Defense did not do too bad considering the competition and the starting safeties played banged up while on the field.

Personally, I am glad that they played a team like Catholic also....They can break that tape down and figure some things out.  No doubt in my mind that Catholic could beat everyone on our schedule (most badly), with the exception of Maryville.  As far as defense, I will have to disagree that we didn't do that bad, Catholic pretty much did anything they wanted to do against us.  I expected Catholic to be good, and while I would have liked to see us more competitive with them, the score of the scrimmage is not what bothers me the most.

Catholic was banged up too.  Number 21 who caught a TD and had one called backed played with a broken thumb.

I Was told Loudon beat Bearden in a scrimmage. Anyone heard about that?
