what does East run?  Spread, option read, or power football.  Sounds like potential a great match up

Sounds like they are a power team, probably going to try and run it down our throats. But at the same time, they have been very different of late than they were the first part of the season. So which team will be here this Friday? Don't know. What I do know is that the Patriots made a huge stride forward last night in the first round. Looking for another great performance next week...

Memphis East has beaten both Whitehaven and Ridgeway. That deserves a wow! This will be the Patriots toughest test to date.

And their two losses were very close games, including a 7-6 slugfest against White Station. HC will have its hands full. Really glad we have home field on our side for this one.

I watched the highlights from when they played Ridgeway and they have a fast running back that is a big play threat. They also have a fullback that can run with power. Every time their Qb dropped back on the video he was sacked so I could not tell what kind of arm he had. Their line looked decent sized but not as big as Ridgeway's. They had a long kick return too so special teams need to step up.

I can't speak too much on how Memphis East looks now but they have a good Head Coach and obviously a super solid defense (they held Whitehaven to 10 points).

I think they'll be competitive early on but the Home field advantage along with lack of Depth will be too much at the end. I think Henry Co. will be moving on. Over/under 28 points. I think it'll be a low scoring affair.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
