Bottom line:  One can claim until the cows come home that Alcoa woulda coulda shoulda beat Fulton, but we'll never know because when the opportunity presented itself to schedule the game the powers that be at Alcoa refused to do so and scheduled a non TSSAA member instead.

No dog in the hunt here - enjoyed watching both teams play over the years - but that is just stone cold fact.  The game could have been scheduled. One team wanted to do it, and one didn't.  We all know which was which.

Who has owned the series head-to-head historically?

I'll wait for an answer!

The folks at Alcoa would not agree with you that it was their decision not to play this game....

I'd venture to say Pearl-Cohn will have 5 players playing D-I football in the future. Maybe a school in Memphis will as well.

Talent does not make you the best.

But do you have proof and I'm not counting the 4 juniors that's probably gonna play d1. 862 points does make you the best offense of all time in the state statistically speaking. Can't dodge that NUMBERS NEVER LIE.

I wish we could see this game for as much garbage as Fulton fans talked all year. After seeing them both these last 2 days this is just an honest opinion.

I'd predict a 21-7 or 23-10 type of game. Alcoa is a lot better up front. That wins games when elite teams play one another.

smells like a dirty HOOK boys!!! GOOD JOB FULTON!!!! THE BEASTs R N THE EAST!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
