Also heard some names of assistants at WC too.

I could almost guarantee you that won't happen. One has a senior on the team and the other has one coming up in middle school and I don't think either one would be interested in moving anywhere for a head coaching position.

why would he have to move...doesn't he have a car?   And doesn't Collinwood have a middle school team too?

You must be talking about Linville, he's already at Deshler as head coach, Statom is going as his assistant. Coach Statoms kids are younger. When Linville and Ward played was in the late eighties and early nineties.

He is prob talking about Mark Statom who played linebacker, running back and quarter back at Collinwood and was a real good player

Hes not going to move his kid to cwood school and I just don't think he would be interested at all, all our coaches seem happy right where they are. And yes he has a car, the school furnishes them got the coaches, didn't you know that ?

Early 2003 Ward didn't play with any of those guys. Darrin Ward played with Linville (who was a few years behind). Mark Statom played in the mid nineties, and not with any Ward or Linville. The pujo guy is all sorts of confused. Luker was a lineman with J. Ward. Is that who you're thinking about? No relation to Statom.

Jonathon ward is the one I'm referring to. They also had an All State lineman..

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
