Who will be Maryville's trap game?

WB will give Maryville a better game but not a much better game. Rebals new QB will be dangerous this year more so than in years past. I'm just keeping it real

That is no surprise. Maryville always has great QBs. Their 2nd or 3rd stringer is good enough to be a starter at most schools most years. But speaking of QBs.... WB has depth at that position for the first time in years.. We have two that can go out on the field and get it done.

I think WB will put a scare into Maryville this year, it's just a gut feeling. I'm not saying WB will beat them, I just think the Govs will keep it interesting. Last year Maryville embarrassed us and I think the Govs will have this game circled on their calendar. It won't be hard for them to get motivated for this game.

That reminds me: When is the red koolaid coming down out of the mountains for us murvil fans? Evidently, wb got their orange batch in a little early and 91 has been sipping. You gotta love the true fanatics!

Only kidding a little with you 91. This year and next are both critical for the govs momentum. They should be at least 4-2 after the first 6.

If Maryville drops any regular season games, it will be at the beginning of the year. The game at West could prove to be a tough one. They would be my pick of potential teams that's most likely to upset Maryville. Alcoa should play them better than last year too, so maybe they got it in them this season.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
