Farragut @ Oak Ridge

I have been following Oak Ridge football for over 30 years and I have never seen them play as sloppy as they did during the first half of this ball game last year. Farragut is the real deal and Oak Ridge better be more prepared this year than they were last year or this will be a blow out. First we have to stop the run. Second our offense can't make the mistakes it made last year. I'm looking forward to the big pep rally tonight, we're going to need it. Go Wildcats!!

What radio station carries the Oak Ridge football games?

Wine and cheese? Yacht? Tsk tsk friends. Let me put down the anchor, refill my merlot and slice some more gruyere before I respond. My son graduated 2012 so I've not followed my fellow Admirals as closely but we went to the opener last night. It looked like DB was down a bit (young?), ANOTHER Foreman? But I liked what FHS put on the field. The junior QB was poised but lacked accuracy. I think that will improve. WRs were OPEN. The offense relied a lot on junior RB Tanner Thomas but didn't seem one dimensional. His presence on the field creates other possibilities: screens, play-action, etc. Farragut went deep (unsuccessfully) too often. I'm not a football aficionado but I still dislike the 3-3 defense. In the second half, FHS looked tired and winded, DB punched the ball up the middle. Then a familiar site, DB threw it over the secondary for a huge gain and score. Overall, I thought the secondary has a lot of potential (2 ints) and some good athletes but still not understanding the scheme.

Welp it looks like Oak Ridge fans have already conceded this game. Guys, I saw the DB/Farragut game last night. DB had nearly 200 yards of penalties 3 turnovers (A few which were in their territory) and STILL won. Yall should be a little bit more confident, unless OR just stinks this year.

DB was lucky to win. Farragut looked to be the better team. DB got lucky on the long pass late and pulled it out. Farragut was the better team.

Not sure about that. Neither team impressed me too much. DB had 4 TO's to Farragut's 0 and still won. Had more total yards than Farragut did and they had 22 less plays than Farragut had. Yards per play DB 6.8 Farragut 4.5. Not saying OR will win, but they have a great chance, especially at home.

The link was loud and clear S.S. and I watched it in person earlier today. I would have to say it was a great pep-rally and Oak Ridge is really fired up. Farragut might be a little bigger but Oak Ridge is faster and more athletic. Speed kills. If we stop their running back we will win by two touchdowns. If we don't then we won't win, it's really that simple. Go Wildcats!!

Oak Ridge 31 Farragut 27.

Glad it worked, my friend. I like your prediction and agree.
