Alcoa @ Maryville

Maryville's defense is as good as I've ever seen it, and that is why they won, coupled with GQ's system and coaching.

 

My bold prediction:

Maryville, 15-0 6A champs

Alcoa, 14-1 3A champs

That is a not so bold prediction.

Go Rebels and go Tornados.

This I believe this might be the best Maryville team that I've seen since I became a fan in 2000. I worry about 2015 when Maryville graduates their whole defense(I believe).

 

 Way too early for that Dave , Maryville has had many Great teams that Played Great every game all year long . This team needs to keep improving every week to be one of the Best teams , and to be able to Beat some very tough teams down the Road . Also , don't worry about next year , we have lots of Young , Tough , hard nosed kids coming up ! 

 

 Nice win tonight ... Tyler did a Better job on his reads I thought , still spotty on his passing , but we have Coach Quarles and I'm sure he will get the very most out of these young men . I really thought the game would be closer .

Is anybody else watching this game on tv? Every penalty on alcoa other than the first one has been terrible! The TV guys have both said on every penalty that it was a bad call. Maryville pushes alcoa db in the back in the endzone and its a no call. Maryville hops a ball to the reciever on 3rd down and its a catch! The tv announcer says, " well remember you are playing AT maryville!" I am by no means saying alcoa should be winning because that is not the case, but good lord...when the tv announcers have said you have missed every call??????

Deion the sad thing is your post applies to several games I have seen over the years at different locations and different classifications. It is not a Maryville/Alcoa problem. It is a T$$AA problem and it is an abomination from Memphis to Mountain City.

Thanks for the info,MHS!  Alcoa has bigger problems. I think they lose their whole offensive line and a good bit of their offense after this season.

Maryville vs blackman will be a good one two best teams outside of Ensworth. Oakland I think could still be dangerous.

Very disappointed. I just checked the recording on my DVR. The game was not on 15 as advertised by charter. I was hoping to watch the game back but at least I won't get so aggravated with Packer's remarks.

 

Great win by the Rebels tonight! Defense looks as good as I have seen in many years at this point in the season. Offense will be fine when GQ finishes tweaking.

Blackman brutalized Brentwood 42-21. They will be on a collision course with Maryville.

I noticed that also 82 even though Packer said WVLT all week. I recorded both channels but camping in Townsend so i have not seen what i have. You may have tail end of game. Mother in law said they move it to another channel late in game.
