Not to beat a dead horse but through 9 games, TCA quarterback Kyle Akin is 175/253/6 for 2690 yards and 37 touchdowns while completing 70.4% of his passes.  He has also run for 329 yards and 3 scores giving him 3019 yards of total offense through the first 9 games.  Akin is only 423 yards and 10 touchdowns away from FIRST PLACE ALL TIME in the TSSAA passing yardage and touchdown passing categories.  Akin's current career numbers are 10556 passing yards and 122 touchdown passes thrown.

Akin had 478 yards of total offense (passing and rushing 453/25) against a very good and highly ranked ECS team this past Friday while leading his team to a 35-28 win in the last 4 seconds of the game.

It's also not like Akin is running up numbers against inferior opponents either.  By the end of the regular season, Akin and his team will have played against 6 teams that will be in this years playoffs and two of this years teams also played for Gold Balls last season as well.

Akin is hands down one of the better QB's to come thru in quite a while.

Who is he chasing in both categories, I'm too lazy to look it up?

Columbia Academy's kicker Thomas Garrison has 54 touchbacks already this season along with 50 PATs and a few field goals. He had a kickoff go 4 yards out the BACK of the endzone. He also had a chance to hit a 46 early in the year but hit the left upright near the top. I've also seen him hit 55 yard field goals in pregame warm ups. Not to mention he also has 13 touchdowns and a lot of tackles on defense.

Last night Ricky Henry became the all-time leading rusher for UC. I think his body of work speaks volumes. He would have broken the record earlier in the year if he were playing 4 qtrs in every game. He has been pulled at the half in all but 2 of the games this season. This is because of blowouts.

For what it is worth Stavonski Wilkes of Lake Co. finished the regular season with 2094 rushing yards on 175 carries with 25 touchdowns. He has 11 receptions for 194 yards and 2 td's. 2 punt returns for td's and kickoff return for touchdown. He has rushed for at least a 100 yards a game against every opponent that he has faced. Not a bad year for this junior.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
