NCS tunes up in this game on Columbia Academy. The 1A state championship game is next week. Just like I called at the end of the 2013 season.

Glad Coach Lansdell has found success at CA after leaving NCS a few years back. He is a good guy. Both he and NCS are better off.

 

I wonder if he feels any pressure at all coaching against his former school employer. The NCS players that were there during his tenure were in middle school. He did coach both HS and MS for a year or two so some of the NCS players may have played for him then.

I don't think Lansdell ever won more than 4 games while he was at NCS and that quickly changed as soon as Brothers arrived.   Brothers first year with the Eagles lost his very first game to 3A Hillwood 6 to 7.  The eagles were 8-1 going into the last game of year vs Jo Bryns, who went on the play for the State Tittle that year against South Pitt in Cookeville.  In 2010 the Eagles beat Columbia Academy 26 to 14 in a close game in the First Round and then got beat by the RIce brothers down in Wayne County 49 to 28.

Now don't get me started, I would think WC going for 2 and the win instead of a extra point and overtime was reasonably close.

I think if I was ncs coach I would put my best return guy in the end zone and try and return those kicks, he will put them all in there if not out the back of it!

In HS the ball is dead as soon as it is kicked past the goal line and cannot be returned.
