Nole. Any news on the home front about the football team? Heard of any new faces? What's the son and his friends saying about the team? Thanks.

No one is really back to talking football yet. Joey is still weighing heavy on their minds. A little more time. The warm weather will help.

Ahhhh Mann! Really gonna miss him at games. Guess the Good Lord needed a coach. He got a good one.

Lee loved him soome Robertsville Rams, course being a Eagle myself we have discussed who was best many times. Guess I'll have to let him have the last laugh.

This quote by Spencer Gulmire on blankenshiplegacy.org makes me want to strap up and take on Marshawn Lynch head on in an Oklahoma Drill....Ok, maybe not, but still fires me the he** up!!! All Wildcat fans go to the page and donate money to the renovations of Historic Blankenship Field!!!

Being a Wildcat meant more than just playing a sport. It instilled in each of us that we should never give up on anything we believe in – faith, trust, character, pride, and most importantly – honor and respect. Being a Wildcat helped me grow into the man I am today, and I could not be more grateful. The memories and relationships will never be forgotten by anyone who has ever worn that cardinal and gray uniform. Our student athletes deserve the best because being a Wildcat means striving to become the best. Oak Ridge High School is not a second tier program, and our facilities should not be either.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
