Apparently the BOC is not representative of the schools in this state with this vote as the majority of schools across the state are for the split. Shame on them.

Voted on the Lewis Co and Trousdale proposal for complete split. Failed 5-4. Other options apparently not voted on except adding private school reps to council and board.

This is to bad as you will now have most of the D1 schools and the larger D2 schools upset.  The only good thing is everyone is now mad at the Board of Control.

 

Why not now just place all the schools back together in four divisions for football?

Because Lewis County has to play for first place every year....or at least that's what their AD claims when he whined to the TSSAA.

If the D1 privates are staying in, they should have some sort of representation on the board. The TSSAA profits from them just as they do the publics.

That does seem shady. Why make proposals if you weren't going to explore or vote on ALL the options? Edited July 16, 2015 by QSouth89
