District 9-AA 2016-2017

Seems like Heritage is off to a good start.  Only lost to Springfield by 1 but was in position to win at the end.  Springfield made the play at the end of the game that the Patriots didn't.  Nick Demarais looking like potential District and County MVP.  White House BDP is disappointing so far.  Maybe they can get back on track after Turkey Day.  The loss of Morgan is magnifying with each game so far.  They will not beat the Patriots if their 3 point shots are not falling early and often.

Heritage finishes the first 4 games at 3-1.  The game vs Springfield will hurt but gave the team a hard fought battle that will teach lessons for later tough matchups.  Heritage will be a tough out for any of the district teams.

White House is taking their lumps early and I believe will improve as the season progresses. Not only did they lose Morgan but a very good Senior point guard that made them click last year. Shoes that are hard to fill.

Greenbrier may be a team to watch as well after East Rob beat WH by 20 something Greenbrier played them to 3 point game. Maybe they have some chemistry.

Sycamore. has yet to win.

Harpeth. Interested to see what the new coach will bring to this team.

Westmoreland. idk they always play tough. 

Cheatham. yet to prove anything and have taken a few loses early. 

 

Looking forward its anybodys guess to who will rise to the top.

Yeah the hits keep coming for the Cubs...3 starters gone and also heard a promising sophomore has a stress fracture in his leg. The freshman you speak of would have played minutes I think for sure. The youngest Mayberry will be back soon depending on the severity of the concussion. But the other 3 guys will be out until late in the season at best. Gonna be a really tough year for Cheatham. They will be playing mostly guys that have never stepped on a varsity floor before and are getting thrown straight into the fire. Plus their schedule is brutal heading into district play with Clarksville Northeast, Northwest, and Brentwood still up ahead. I hate to see the 2 seniors get injured like that. Hopefully they can get better and at least play a few games to end the season. Nobody wants to see that happen.

Hate to hear that about those seniors at Cheatham ... no one ever can see or want that to happen

 

Seems this district will have a lot of parody ....

 

White House out to a slow start , have to agree missing Morgan who could create from nothing , and also their 2/3 year starting point guard .....

 

Seems White House will go with how their shooting goes ... I have seen these players play many times , and hard to think this slump will continue .... The east Robertson game was a strange game ... the Devils seems to take control up 8 or so in 4th quarter and squandered the game away ....

 

Still a lot of youngsters out there , feel this team will get better and better as the experience ticks , and they settle on 6-8 players .. the games I have watched they have played 11-14 players ....

 

The Cheatham schools seem down , would love to see even though long ways away a ALL WHITE HOUSE district championship in White House

All in all, 9AA is just playing for the district this year. No one, I repeat, no one in 9AA has a prayer in the Region Tournament.

When u say in region . You mean winning it or just winning one game .

From what I have seen so far, if they win one game in the Region tournament first round it will be a miracle.

Maplewood. And whites creek is definitely above most then east lit with their pressure is close . Everybody else a toss up and White House proved they can play with MLK shooting 5-34 from 3 and only losing by 13. Won't shoot that bad at home where region is

Winning it is impossible.  Winning one game is unlikely.

MLK is at best the #6 team in the district.
