MountainTroll
...says the fan of Signal Mountain, one of the very very very few schools forced to forfeit games after the fact for using an ineligible player... I've always said it's harder to git 'em eligible in the public system than it is to hide the money in the private system.
vuau1989
So I was playing around with the numbers on here and here is what I came up with in 6A: West White Station Whitehaven Southwind Memphis Central Germantown Collierville Arlington Cordova Houston Bartlett Middle #1: Overton Ravenwood Brentwood Franklin Indy Centennial Rossview Cane Ridge Middle #2 McGavock Mt Juliet Stewart's Creek Antioch Lebanon Wilson Central Station Camp Lavergne Middle #3 Cookeville Blackman Oakland Warren Co. Riverdale Smyrna Siegel Coffee Co. East Science Hill Dobyns Bennett Jefferson Co. Bearden Hardin Valley William Blount Bradley Central Farragut Maryville Morristown West Heritage McMinn Co. Cleveland Walker Valley That is 48 schools. How do you think these regions would break down? Would it be 6 8-team regions? If so, what do you do about the 10 schools out west? Also, there are 12 teams in the east area that I don't know how to break down. I'd be interested to see how you guys would break it down. I don't know much about east/west, but I broke the middle regions down by #1 #2 and #3 the way I might see them playing out. Agree/disagree? VeerCoach
Here is what I came up with ... Last 6 schools in 6A ... Southwind Gallatin Dickson Co Hendersonville Ooltewah and Cleveland ... This depends on how many Privates stay in or go D2 Region 1 Dobyns Bennett Science Hill Jefferson Co Morristown West Region 2 Heritage Maryville William Blount Farragut Hardin Valley Bearden Region 3 McMinn Co Cleveland Ooltewah Bradley Central Region 4 Cookeville Coffee Co Warren Co Oakland Riverdale Blackman Siegel Stewarts Creek Smyrna Region 5 Hendersonville Gallatin Station Camp La Vergne Lebanon Mt. vuau1989
Pretty exciting to look at. It would lead to a lot of prime time match ups week in and week out. Especially in Middle Tennessee.

Bearden (farthest East ) would more than likely be in region 1 with it being 5 and 5 in region 1 and 2. Region 3 and 4 will change too and not be 4 teams in region 3 with 7 out of region games and region 4 with 9 teams and 2 out of region games. Gov
6-A Morristown West, Farragut, Hardin Valley, Bearden, Jefferson County, D-B Science Hill 7 6-A Cleveland, McMinn County, Heritage, Ooltewah, Maryville, Bradley William Blount 14 6-A Coffee County, Cookville, Warren County, Oakland, Siegal 19 6-A Riverdale, LaVergne, Smyrna, Stewerts Creek, Blackmon 24 6-A Cane Ridge, Antioch, McGavock, Nashville Overton, Rossview 5 6-A Independence, Centenial, Ravenwood, Brentwood, Franklin 10 6-A Hendersonville, Station Camp, Wison Central, Lebonon, Mt Juliet 15 6-A Bartlette, Houston, Germantown, Cordova, Arlington, Memphis Central, Whitehaven, White Station, Collierville 24 This is what I have come up with, if you divide the memphis teams into two regions, things could change in the west, but i think the east will stay the same with some adjustments to the middle. If not, in one region everyone automatically makes playoffs. It will intersesting to see what happens! just my opinion who really knows how many teams will be in each class at this point. Pure speculation! Not real sure how Memphis will be seperated, just know one will have five teams and the other will have four. Indian is much smarter than me, so maybe he can lead us in the right direction! Edited September 20, 2016 by Gov
dhstennis
DHS, does North Side also get the kids from Madison if they want to play football? No, but initially they were suppose to get Madison and early college high students...it was brought to the local newspapers attention and subsequently changed. Madison athletes can now play at south side high school

Madison athletes can now play at south side high schoolOk, I never heard what school those students would play for and thought if North Side got both schools, that's a lot of kids that don't count against their enrollment. I'm surprised the TSSAA does not count the students from these schools as part of the receiving school numbers. I wonder how many kids from Madison plays at Southside? devilsden
I like your thinking in the east regions 1,2,3. But there is a lot of travel in region 4, Nashville, Clarksville and Memphis would like this. Seems someone is missing but I can't think who. Not sure Central and Seymour would go up to 5a though.
