He played DB for the Memphis Tigers and has been on Clayton's staff at Hillsboro for awhile. He knows his way around an offense, but defense is definitely his specialty. He's fiery and aggressive, and he cares about the kids an absolute ton. He'll be a great head coach one day.

I respect harp. I'm sure he's a good person and all. I see nothing wrong with talking about who the next coach will be. It's just talk and if he were 54-0 with three state championships we would be having this same conversation because he would be gone or would have already left.

He is a great guy but pretty sure he is happy where he is.

One person cannot/ will not change a culture. The whole school and community have to buy in also.

I agree. All talk about this should stop until Lebanon has no coach. My opinion, Coach Harp is not the problem.

I do not think this is a big secret Harp has been at a disadvantage from the start. Not a full staff no support from M.Hall and others on the school board and on and on. He has let it be known he is not happy and would like to move on.

Run, what is the problem?  Lebanon used to be good enough for Cumberland to get a bunch of good players from there.

 

I ask as I don't know.  Their going downhill has been a shock to me as they were always a solid program that was capable of beating Ruth County teams unless we played one of our better games.  Their going out of the Region from us seems to have hurt them.

I'm not sure Lebanon will ever be good again. The area just sets up for failure as it's nothing more than a stepping stone into a different community. Too many people trying to leave and only

Renting not buying houses. The school and facilities are insanely nice, so that's a plus. I know programs that would kill for what Lebanon has. Someone needs to go and take advantage of it.

Not the first time I've heard this. Honest question about Mr Hall-what are his job responsibilities at Wilson Co school district that allow his support to be so influential @ LHS? I know his kids go/went to Wilson Central so he supports WC as a result. But I don't ever hear of MJ being hindered as a result of Hall's support or lack thereof. As a WCSD employee why would his support of LHS be any different than of other schools?

 

BDP, is this a mutual parting between Harp and LHS or is Harp being forced out? I hear so much about lack of athletes, athletes not coming out for football, kids going to FCS or other county schools (open zoning), political issues. Bottom line, facilities seem top notch but 7-43 since school opened. What gives?
