Yep, just keeping tabs on you. See you at the concession stand again. Safe travels back from down south!

Pirate Thomas these crisp fall nights in SP during November are usually good ones for us. I am looking for an offensive explosion tonight. I think it safe to say we will probably see as many as 10 touchdowns tonight between the teams.

after watching some film I think Fayetteville is the better team out of region 4 #22 is a good back and will get some yards. I think they have more speed than Columbia academy at the skill positions and a better QB. Hope SP is focused and ready...Go Pirates!!!

I thought that too at the first of the season about our Region, but Columbia Academy proved me wrong as I watched the season progress, and before the end I changed to pick CA to be #1 right before they played F-ville..... and that's where they are.

CA is no flash in the pan like last year with big plays, they play it out deep in the trenches with some big backs between the tackles and out the ends with speedy backs. They appear very conservative to me, not playing for the big scoreboard, rather just the W.... That said, they do not make it out of the east without a good passing game to balance them out.

Bigby,  you always give good insight on teams.  I appreciate it.

I'm hopeful the Pirates stay healthy during this one and at this point of the season its about surviving and advancing.

No score prediction from me. I'll leave that to the experts. But I do expect the Pirates to win.

:thumb:..... safe travels to Varo and his Tigers and good luck to both teams in an injury free game!

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
