Just wasted 2 hours catching up on this thread and was even convinced Winn and McKinney was battling for the gold ball Friday. Good news for the Cherokees they won't be facing the same NCS team from last year. And for that hit silvey put on 62 there's no way that boy should have even gone back in the game the player couldn't even get up on his own. Credit for the kid being tough but very surprised the staff allowed him back in.[/quote
Hope both teams put on a great game and as a Trousdale Co fan how good is the coach at Dresden he seems to be one of the front runners for the Trousdale Co head coaching job nut good luck to both teams

If he would take the job it would be your best option. I don't know about him being micromanage by Satterfield. I figured Rang would take a good job opening in East Tennessee where his roots are

Nothing dirty about Silveys hit, just football! Before you know it they'll have them playing in dresses. You turn on ESPN and all you hear is how bad these multi millionaire retired NFL players hurt every every morning when they wake up, well why don't they ask these 70 year old loggers that have logged their whole life how they feel when they wake up and and are still living from paycheck to paycheck

Hmmm, relooked at films. Studied news articles. Polls. Trends. Stats & history. You GB posters & fans are correct. We can't compete all four quarters with y'all. Not even part of one period. In fact, no need to practice too hard Cherokees. Our guys roll over pretty easy. We are creampuffs who had all Charmin soft opponents. Y'all may not even havta play your first string. No doubt your subs can get the job done. No need to risk injury to all the college-bound studs on your team. I am sure your Mr. Football guys (winner & finalist) will enrapture our players who will be struck with star-shine brightness. The only thing our players will be thinking about will be to be the first in line to get autographs from Cherokee players. We just honored to be on the same field and in same stadium. Thank you for playing us lowland softies. ... You all are indeed super nice. :D

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
