The only thing I worry about these young 8th graders is have they peaked already...in both size and ability. I hope not, but I've seen it happen before. They need to hit the weights harder than any class ever has, I mean it!

Thjs is what I wonder as well. Theh are so much bigger tban everyone else it is ridiculous.....lol. Reghardless, sp doesnt see anything less than the semis the next four years.

There is a few 8th graders that maybe early bloomers with their size but to think they won't grow anymore is silly. There are a couple that may just fill out as they get older but kids like Cooper,Frame,Hubbard,Ramirez,Walters Stone,Powers, and Beene just to name a few are absolutely not done growing. Sure Allen, Cagle, Sanders and Andry are very big for their age but look at their parents lol they are not exactly small. Like I said it's going to be a special group. Size,Speed and Heart just gotta stay hungry and not let jealousy cause tension because some will play sooner than others.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
