So a university president is making the high school coach run an antiquated offense and hiring second tier coaches?  I'm not buying that.  The Headmaster, AD, head football coach, every single football assistant (and while we're at it, the head boy's and girl's basketball coaches) are all "from Lipscomb" and that entire athletic program is a only a shell of what it once was.  It used to be fun to play Lipscomb because they were good.  Heck, they even kicked our butts several times over the years.  Now, it's just sad, really.

And speaking from our end we hated playing Lipscomb lol

Head coach is from Guntersville, AL.  Assistants-1 from Lipscomb, 2 from Indiana, 1 from Ripley, 1 from Ashland City,  1 from Page and 1 from Canton Ohio.  They all coached with Coach McCadams, so in that sense they are "from Lipscomb".  Last year, Coach Tillman was the region coach of the year.  I guess he forgot everything he knew then and the second tier coaches must have also forgotten all they used to know.  OR, it could be that losing 3 straight pretty good classes of players, with two small classes behind them and having up to 9 starters miss games with injuries has made for a pretty tough rebuilding job.

Would you be embellishing the truth because I may know more than you wish to discuss?

Unfortunately the David Lipscomb campus has become California Liberal!  Nothing like when Athens Clay Pullias ran the campus with a conservative iron fist.  There is a reason that many people that are members of the CofC elect to send their children to other private schools in the Nashville area.

whats hard to imagine is that yall r the largest schooll in this new DII-AA now and not bein competitive.....can you believe what it would b like if Lowery, Meske (Who is on the T$$AA BoC and a HC at Webb.....Major conflict of interest) had not met up at the Pink Pony Pub Happy Hour down in Gulf Shores after that condo meetin and the cutoff number had stayed at 450 like it is in all other sports......interestin how that Football number got up to 530 and only the 3 schools that fell between the that 450 and 530 cutoff are the 2 private schools that have a Head Maste/AD and a HC on the T$$AA BoC.....the 3rd bein another Master Head (buddy) from CCS who is over the 450 number; petitioned after the fact and the BoC allowed them to play down when they have official documented numbers over the cutoff.....

.....Booger nose the Red Neck Rivera all to well...... Happy Hour at the Pink Pony Pub is a deal cuttin place.....and that condo had to have been sumbodys from the Sword of Joshua Independent Full Gospel Pentecostal Assembly just off Hwy 41/Broad Street done on Charger Drive in St Elmo

.....Booger still hates to see anyone down like DL is right now and hope to see DL rebound a bit soon....at least for the kids

It's sad that political views come up as an excuse for everything now.  Lipscomb is the biggest school in the region.  You sound like an old man yelling at a cloud unless you can somehow prove iron fist conservatives breed better football players...

It is no secret that the 530 number was established in an effort to avoid playing the Ensworth/BAs of the world. Absolutely no reason to have 3 divisions with the number of teams involved.  It is also funny how two well know schools came in just a hair under that 450 line to make sure they played down in other sports.

not sure what school BigChief is sportin....but you a parently wernt aware that the butt in the seats number at the 2 schools U afformnetioned r Ensworth - 463 & BA - 497........so that 530 established would be an incorrect statement and also would not make no sense would it......now if you go back to that 450 number that they origianlly had had on their brain housin groups that Booger mentioned; u can see it.......that T$$AA BoC and anybody that nose stuff like Booger nose stuff would no that Ensworth & BA were never gonna play no FB nowhere except up in the big boy group......so go back and read the numbers and U can see which BoC members needed that number to b moved up to 530 from 450

Booger, I was supporting what you said. That number was established "arbitrarily" to make sure they didn't have to play Enworth, BA, MBA,   They assumed that those schools would continue to play up, which they did. Don't think that BA et al. were not upset at the  move. It would have been funny if they had called their bluff and played down in AA

sure glad BA did play up Chief.....Ensworth is not that monster of a threat to a few of the teams in DII-AA.....Ensworth could win DII-AA.....may possibly b the favorite or one of the favorites year after year in DII-AA........but there not a shoe in by no means.....BA is amazingly a different animal

....no problem for Booger that the 2 both chose to play up with the big boys.....they had to in order to stay competitive in the Nashville recruitin war

You're right.....Lipscomb was at 530....last year.  They graduated an abnormally large class last year and are now at 460ish.  Does that change the argument a little bit?  When setting the classes for 2017 and beyond one would think they would look at 2017 enrollment, not the previous year.  That would have had interesting ramifications for CPA who qualified to play down in ALL other sports by one student if memory serves......still doesn't make sense to me why they chose to play down.

We'll have to agree to disagree.....last 3 classes were stacked and under performed.  Coaching staff is full of great men but average to below average football coaches.  The region should hope LA goes 5-5 every year so coaching staff will be retained......another year like this one and a change will be made.
