Not that it matters, but your starters were in until at least early in the 2nd half. Our O scored 14 on them in the first half and might have scored 2 more tds had it not been for turnovers.

Regardless, our offense played one of its best games of the season. Its been 3 and out city all year and it seemed like we moved the ball consistently against BC and had some big plays which was encouraging to see.

So I see the Doc sold you some of his Pepper Sauce Friday Night.

Govs win this one, and I don't think it's ever in doubt. They will win by at least two scores. I would say more, but I don't trust their defense enough. All I know is they aren't finishing 0-10.

Don't forget the last game of 2016 when nearly 30 players quit the last game because they were encouraged by someone that everything would be just fine and no hard feeling and all would be welcomed back in 2017. Give a kid an easy choice like that and they will take it. Stupidest thing I ever heard in my life. Just remember if anything can go wrong with this team they will figure a way to do it.

Yeah, it's a different opponent than Oakland though. Not saying what happened last year wasn't ridiculous because it certainly was, but I think these kids believe they can beat Stone, as opposed to the kids last year wanting no part of Oakland. I just hope for the kids sake they can win it. Especially, for their seniors. Tough way to have to remember your senior season.

No doubt. I will be pulling for them 100% also. I think this will be a good game to see. Just remember they both played Lenior City and lost by similar scores if you like comparing apples and oranges. The game WB played against Bradley might have had some improvement but the Bears focus was on this week if I know kids right. I want them to win a game if they have to call up Union County and play a make believe bowl game like they did a few years back against Hardin Valley if memory serves me correct.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
