5 turnovers in both games! Bolivar I don't think we were ready for them ! TCA was a give away,  they just got all the breaks and capitalized on our mistakes! Plus they have some good players and coaches .

What about our 3 turnovers in the first quarter and gave you the ball in the red zone each time. Where were those 21 points y’all should capitalized on ? Come on man don’t act like y’all were the only one that turned the ball over.

Peabody should be coming into this game treating it like its their 1st round playoff game, because in reality it is. It’s win or go home for Peabody. They seemed to get the offense rolling last Friday against TCA. I still think Adamsville gives Peabody a run for their money though. My head wants to say Adamsville takes this one because of the physicality that this game is going to be, but my gut is telling me, a fighting for their season Peabody team comes out firing on all cylinders. Peabody 45 Adamsville 38

Peabody seems like a tough place to coach. A 7-2 team with 7 point loss to Union City and a 2 point loss to a senior loaded McKenzie team that lost to Union City by 2 Friday night. 10 years ago you guys were a joke. Now you're Alabama and supposed to go undefeated every year? I remember Peabody being automatic win for us every year. I always laugh at Peabody posters. You're not Milan, Huntington, Lexington, etc. Quit acting like you're too good to be 7-2 when your best players are sophomores.

Don't know your argument or your point. In recent years, Peabody has been a better program than Lexington. Huntingdon has always been a good team but they couldn't get past this game with the last name of Rice! Milan (along with Henry County and possibly UC) has the best tradition in all of West Tennessee. Peabody has the best facilities and the best fan base, but most importantly, they have a great school board led by Haney and will do anything it takes to make sure Peabody football is taken great care of! Yes, it also helps when Coach Jacobs hired a great assistant coaching staff over the past few years.

Easy big fellow,  I gave you all props ! Not trying to throw shade! We had 3 turnovers on your side of the field! And the strip fumble for a score cost us the game! When film clearly shows he was down ! Y'all won and that's all that matters !

I, of course, have to go with Peabody on this one, though I don’t think it will be an easy win. Throw into the mix the forecast, and it’s up in the air on the outcome for sure. Current forecasts now say rain ending early evening on Friday which is nice, but it’s sounding like a 100% possibility of a soggy field.

Still I give a Roll Tide in this one!!!

Huntingdon's all time record against Trenton is 22-6 ! Our facilities are much nicer. Nobody has a better fan base than the Mighty Mustangs. It is what it is!

Film did not clearly show that he was down.  I watched it over 20 times from different angles and it was so close that it would have taken College instant replay to determine the call.  That call could be argued either way.  The reason for the lopsided total yards was because the defensive TD didn’t count toward yards and we had a short field due to the other two turnovers.  Your 420 yards were earned and legitimate.   Right now, if we played you guys 10 times you would probably win 8 just like we would have beaten you in ‘15 eight of 10.  BigEd and I have no problem with the truth.  Right now, you guys are the better team and I hope we don’t see you until 3rd round.  We are pulling for you guys Friday and plan to come to the game since we play Thursday.  BigEd and I will be the hecklers at top of stadium.  We will be Waldorf and Statler! Haha

    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
    • No my fight, but ... if they were already college-caliber prior to transferring to BHS, and they already had FBS interest, and they end up at an FBS school, how did Bearden do anything for them?
