"Three"?  I will give you Maryville and Alcoa, but a THIRD!  LOL

Three championship appearances in 3 years,a state championship this year and that staff has only been together for 3 years sounds pretty good to me what other team in 1A has done that?

Think about it LOD. We graduated four kids that were recruited to D1 schools,we weren't even supposed to win our region this year with Coalfield bringing back 21 of 22 starters and Mr. Football quarterback Parker McKinney. Pretty impressive if you ask me!

Happy retirement to Coach David Ellis. Great coach and even better man. I'm glad that he got to go out with another state championship. Whenever I see those Brach's Pumpkin candies around Halloween, they remind me of him, because he'd always carry them around and share them with everyone. Best of luck, Coach!! He's done a lot of good for a lot of young men and deserves all the praise in the world.

Proud of the 37742! I work with several Kees players in the off season. Loved watching them win the Gold ball!

    • They knew, that was the year we went down and beat Riverdale on their field in playoffs right?  Didn't Clary get into it with the Riverdale fans sitting just outside the window of the press box?
    • COLLAPSED LUNG?!?! I guess he just didn’t tell the coaching staff?
    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
