plumb69
Great job Tornadoes on a fine regular season and another spectacular playoff run. Covington was a worthy opponent and the Tipton County team had a great season but the gold ball is where it belongs in east Tennessee. Congratulations Alcoa!!!!!!!! 1

CHARGERFAN
Just a footnote to the game. I watched the TV broadcast on DVR last night. When the linebacker intercepted Covington (first int) they said his name was Warwick. Later in the broadcast, they said that his grandfather played in the NFL. That's when I realized that I know his grandfather ( at least know of him). When I was a student at TTU, we had an All everything linebacker called Big Sam. His real name was Lonnie Warwick. He went on to play middle linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings for a number of years. I remember that we Tech grads were really proud to see a Tech guy doing so well on a national stage. i just wanted to shout out to the Alcoa player about how great his grandad was in the day.

bglass
We didn’t take advantage of good field position when we had it. Our defense played awesome especially inside the ten yard line. I have watched the game also and I believe our #7 had that interception in the first half his hands were on the ball first but no replay in HS of course. IMO he should have been defensive MVP also. I think he had about 15 tackles and broke up a couple passes.
