Whitwell has 4 All-State players on their team. They are the second most talented team in 1A behind Greenback. They make a statement at Trousdale. Tigers by 21

I can tell you right now that both teams will do good to even make it to 21 let along one of the teams win by 21 Whitwell won't be the best team TC schedule they would be like the third best behind 6A Lebanon and Watertown this will be a close game no one is winning by 21 points

The Creekbank has a way of sending the better visiting team home with a loss. This will be a must see game and both teams will bring it. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. Will be well worth the trip.

I agree, if we didn’t have a game this week I would make the trip up there to see this one.

As an OLD Yellow Jacket (coached by Jim B Satterfield, the man who started all this mess at Trousdale County), I am driving about 160 miles to see this game. I don't know who to predict as the winner of this game, but given the Jacket's performance in their last three games, I don't think Whitwell will score 35 points. In the last three games the Jackets have scored 107 points and their opponents have score 0 points. If I remember correctly from the stats given on the radio last night, TC's last three opponents have averaged less than 1 yard per carry. Even though they have had three shutouts in a row, I don't think Whitwell will be the fourth.  I will be very happy with a 1-point win. Go Jackets!!!

If they do score 35 they will be the first team and I doubt they will score 35 points neither team will make it to 35 I don't think you understand how good TC run defense is especially upfront with the LB and DL and the secondary just improved lot this week with #8 coming back

Stop trying to get them fired up lol

They already fired up with the return of their best player #8 and with TC having revenge on their mind from last year (which was a great game and atmosphere) saying that Whitwell will score 35 points just adds oxygen to that fire

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
