On a serious note, all three teams in action this week. Two play new opponents, while one plays a familiar foe. Going by the score, Oliver Springs played Greenback close. Cornersville took out Mt Pleasant 48-0, then MtPleasant beats WC 58-? WC took a lead into halftime against Huntingdon. I am not gonna pick my team but here are my picks for the other two.

Huntingdon wins 42-28

Greenback wins 35-21

I don’t agree with the Greenback score. That game will be a 42 point win I think. If OS plays them that close again I doubt they get past Whitwell.

Yea and I don’t think Mt Pleasant keeps it close either. I think Swenson keeps the gas on the pedal a little longer this week. 56-21 Huntingdon

You probably right. MP is hard to figure. They have some athletes but you never know which team shows up for them.

I can definitely see where you think OS will keep it close. Last game was by far GB’s worst performance. Don’t even know if we had over 100 yds passing and we usually average about 250 yds through the air. Two week layoff means 1 of 2 things.... we start slow and OS keeps it close again or the boys are fired up and win by 40+.... hopefully the latter.

I do think GB is better than the first game they played, but yes the two week layoff is a concern. Picking a winner when two undefeated teams possibly meet in the post season(talking Whitwell) is tough. The east is very tough and unpredictable. Not as unpredictable as which Mt Pleasant team will show up though.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
