My understanding Sequatchie is playing the same 1 win East Ridge team. So it’s ok for a 3A school to play a 1 win 4A school but not a 1A with 500 less kids. The AD and now former principal knew exactly what they were doing when schedules were made. Go back to the beginning of the season threads if you want to read more

Maybe.  Maybe not.  But he did do the job he was hired to do. And that was make the program better.  Whose to say if he hadn't came along that the next 2 coaches wouldn't have had the success they had?

Never said they won’t win. But why doesn’t those games get scheduled. They play against each all the way up through middle  school so why not in high school anymore. Like the other guy said it would have taken sequatchie best game but since it wasn’t scheduled we will never know. I’m not taking anything away from whitwells kids. They won the game in spite of horrible play calling in the first half and first part of 3rd. Going for it on your 12 yard line in the second qt was insane.

With the way Sequatchie and the town of Dunlap went all out to support the Tigers then why isn't there a contract between these 2 programs?

I actually don’t think they do have that success, the foundation he provided helped tremendously, but let’s be honest, with that offense they weren’t going to hold a gold ball.

That is my point. Instead of them playing east ridge, play each other. Sequatchie is 3a in football but really should be 2a and should be good games between each other and bring in money for the schools. Instead of bringing in a few east ridge fans, pack the visitors stands with these two rivals

I'm not debating the fact that he would or wouldn't have won a gold ball. No one will ever know. Most likely not.

My main point is does Whitwell even have the success they have had last 3 years without what he provided.

Same scenario, we will never know. But I highly doubt Whitwell would have.

When did they schedule east ridge ? Or are you referring to signal mountain ?

I don’t disagree valley teams benefit far more when we all play each other.  Providing tough out of region games is where you set yourself up to play tough in the playoffs, not to mention the money.    

 

Im just saying, I don’t think Bouldin would be afraid of lining up against anybody in the valley.

My other point is this, if you have a town such as Dunlap and their Sequatchie County team going all out the way them did in supporting this Whitwell Tiger team and community then why are these 2 teams and communities not scheduled the next 2 years. As a coach they would have been my FIRST out of region game scheduled.  But that's just me thinking out loud.

As far as my Business and what we did when Whitwell came through town I would of done the same thing for South Pitt. I have to say though that last year when Jasper came threw town they was no one out wishing them off. I don’t have jasper Connections but I do got some In south Pitt.
