Whitwell's schedule is so impressive. 2 wins over SP, beating Greenback and Trousdale. Man. Cornersville will def have their hands full.

The tigers are battle tested for sure. Reminds me of in 07 at SP we played Trousdale, Gordonsville, Friendship, and Hampton in a row then crushed McKenzie.

I dont think Cornersville is getting crushed (not saying you were saying that)

Not saying that at all. Just was saying competition had us prepared that year. Whitwell has faced and beaten tougher teams this year in SP (last 2 years semi finalist) TC( playing for 2A State) and GB( last years champs with everyone returning minus a few

I honestly believe this will be a tremendous game between two great teams. No doubt Whitwell has played some very tough teams and come out on top. These two teams will come prepared and ready to play no doubt. I received the roster for Whitwell this morning and saw it posted last night. If I am counting correctly, there are 34 young men on the roster. Where this game could get interesting is the depth factor. Cornersville comes in with 50+ on the roster, most all with quite a bit of game experience this year. I am not saying the Whitwell guys aren't the same way. If I remember correctly, I believe I said in the LC post that it isn't the speed of Cornersville that will get you, it is the relentless pounding the opposing team takes on offense and defense. I saw it against Huntingdon and against LC, and for that matter the whole season. After a little bit, both sides of the ball started shying away from contact. Not saying that will happen Saturday, just saying that as a DAWG fan and watching every game this season live and in person, that is one thing I noticed, especially against teams that were not very deep on the roster. Greenback taught this team quite a bit last season and I think they have learned very well.

Best of luck to both teams and hope everyone is healthy and strong come Saturday.

Facts baby not drama. You nor I know which QB will play. It could be #5 too.

Skillet slinger you are full of mess.  Have you been on the coaches meeting? I garuntee you that Boldin man wouldnt tell you anything except your full of mess. If that ashworth boy is healthy I garuntee he will be the passer and that petty boy will be a runner.  You think im joking but im not.

    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
