The other Stratford Alum he could be referring to is not leaving Hillsboro , if he is the coach in waiting. Antioch job is a mess but a good could could change that perception if they get someone who doesn't mind starting from scratch. Overton has declined a lot but I don't know if its the coach or the student body. If Waite goes there it could cause a big carousel. I'm betting Hillwood opens up as well

Williams was successful at Blackman, but that was as an assistant. I agree with about the Antioch job but the previous hires have not panned out. Hillwood will be a sought after job when they move to Bellvue. I thought Brown was the coach in waiting at Hillsboro.

Williams will land on his feet somewhere if that's the case, real good guy and coach. He knows defense, Antioch is a dumpster fire at the moment, Brown is the coach in waiting in Green Hills therefore I do think the other spartan alum would go to Mcg if offered but that's not the job he is eyeing. Waite leaving East Nashville could change a lot of staffs in metro

Agree

I guess you fellas are stating Metro coaches cant get the job done? Well lets look at facts, Beech and H'Ville were the only successful program to reach the state from sumner in the last 10 years or so granted some of their best players were Metro kids thanks to the decline of HL. Oakland is the only program Rutherford county in the last 10 years to see a state, not Blackman, Smyrna Siegal , Riverdale. Mt Juliet competes every year but haven't seen a state appearance in a while, BUT IN METRO Pearl, Maplewood, Cane Ride and Hillsboro all have touched a state championship game but you guys continue to look down at metro coaches and they have accomplished more than these other coaches you thinks so highly of. Don't look down on metro coaching they've accomplished more  in some aspects

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
