That being said, it was just an observation of mine. The intensity level will be off the charts Thursday night. Just make the trip over to the Palace and see for your self. You think the Milan/ Peabody rivalry is bigger than the Huntingdon/ Milan rivalry. Huntingdon/ Milan to me is the top rivalry in west tennessee! The best programs in the last 5 years have been Dresden, Peabody and UC Dresden is 49-15 in the last 5 years. UC is 56-11. Peabody is 57-13. Huntingdon is 48-12. Just because Huntingdon has been forced to play east, we are still a West team. I can’t help but feel some of these records would be different (better or worse) if Huntingdon was still playing these teams in regular season. I thought I remember them trading spots with another school changing them from the west to the east.

Why would a school, any school, choose to play untraditional district games that are a hour to a hour and a half away? Then when playoffs come up they are at least 2 hours. That just doesn’t make sense. I believe it is determined where the town geographically sits.

You must be one of those guys that think because you talk louder than everyone else, that makes you right. You can use all the !!!!!!s and ?????s you want!!!!!! I never tried to prove any point about Peabody or UC. The only point I made was Huntingdon is one of the top teams in the West, and it may be different record for any of these teams if Huntingdon played district games in the Western half of the state!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even for Huntingdon!!!!!!!!!! It was some Peabody fan that said UC, Peabody and Dresden was the best the last 5 years when Huntingdon in fact has a better win\loss record than Dresden. Is that a fact???????? Yep!!!!!!!! Edited August 18, 2019 by Waker

Only team that's beat the the Mustangs the last 2 years. They take hitting to a whole new level.
Archiewho
I definitely would say historically outside of Milan, Huntingdon’s program is rich when talking about West TN Football. However, I will say this, since Huntington re-aligned to middle TN district and are 1A when Trenton and UC in the same district no less. (Dresden for a little while as well as Adamsville and Trinity). Just seems like winning seasons against that type of competition holds more weight. Also not real sure to make of these undefeated seasons and not even getting to the semis. I can’t say I thought they were overly impressive. In saying that though I totally agree that Huntingdon could definitely compete with those teams, which they always have. Can’t say they are as decorated the last 10 years though
