Greenback is still the team to beat in the east for 1A. South Pittsburg will be a good team as well, but until they prove they can beat Greenback.. the jury is out as far as I’m concerned.

We have a couple that didn't play this year if they decide to come back it will make a big difference. Brier Johnson is one he is 6 4 or 6 5 fast great hands and tough as they come

They may can go multiple rounds, but they aren’t a legitimate threat to get to Cookeville.  I think that’s what most say. I picked you boys as one of the two favorites the past few years in the west.

I agree, this might help Meigs by playing better competition. Meigs also added Clinton to the schedule. Don’t know what they will have. Do you have any idea?

Right now they are a dumpster fire of sort.Had alot of internal issues last year.Still its a 5a team just like us playing LC (except LC has been to the 5A playoffs for 3 years) so it will be a test no doubt.Teams like these platoon players and even for very good small teams they will be a challenge.With ole MCKamey at the helm they will be a wingT team with lots of gimmic plays.Did i mention i dont like the guy myself.LOL!

That man has been through a lot though. I couldn’t imagine going through what he’s been dealt.

You are correct and i would never say anything about the personal stuff that is off limits.The man himself is a handful alone.His son was a GREAT ball player and had ALL my respect and i hope you or DO2 dont take my post the wrong way.We had alot of run ins with the dad as did CAK and other teams.

As far as those 3 guys I would say they are special,but overall team play wont have any drop off in overall talent for a minimum of 4 years !!! Call me cocky call me a homer but this lil ole hick town should win 3 outta 4 of the next Gold Balls !!!! ROLL GOLDEN TIDE ROLL !!!! ITS A GOLDEN THANG YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND!!!

I mean it's definitely a possibility. But I wouldn't go as far to say that. You never know with teenagers. I remember a particular proud fan base back east made such claims in 1A about 2-3 years ago and they haven't made it to the big game

It's insane the young transfers that have came in, the size the speed, and the trench warriors coming to the Golden Tide next year and returning all skill players!! I will say this WEC we have 3 or 4 coming outta 8th grade that would start in any 2 A school.. Of course you are right teens are teens so ya never know,,its just hard to say we just have a shot when talent wise its ours to lose !!!! How are your War Eagles looking.g in 1 A sir? Great I hope,yall have always been a great bunch of folks!!

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
