I root for all Knoxville teams.. but what I really believe in is realism..

I am not from the area and just enjoy watching sports. From what I understand from my sports writers, this Bearden team might be the most successful high school team in NE TN in perhaps 3-4 decades.

By NE do you mean North East? Don't think Knoxville is in northeast Tennessee, but maybe I'm just being picky.

The Red Rebels didn’t choke last night at Bear-Den...:thumb:

Just watching from afar, but I don't think Maryville chokes games away. Due to some players joining the team late because they also play football, it takes time for the team to build chemistry. However, in my opinion, this Rebel team will not be as good as last year's team.

I hate to say this but Farragut maybe the team to beat in that District. I hated Farragut when I was in high school in the early 1980's and don't like them much now :-D

This will not surprise anybody but I believe Oak Ridge has somehow managed to put together a very fine team and is as good as the Admirals.

Heritage beat Farragut last night. And Maryville beat Bearden.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
