4 seeds should be Wildcards.

Keep 1-3 seeding the same. Use a z plan-ish system to determine the 8 wildcards. wildcards are seeded 1-8, seeding for wildcards determined my geographic location. Wildcard furthest east is the 1 furthest west is 8 so on. Then Wildcard#1 plays region 1 champion Wildcard#2 plays region 2 champion, etc. 

This would stop 1 and 2 win teams from being in the playoffs for the most part and serve for some more competitive 1st round games in my opinion.

Won't fly... makes too much sense while still being simple. Any and all changes to the format must be confusing enough that the common fan can't grasp it all.

Love the idea but implementing becomes tedious. Can’t just go by best overall record— could go with best record in your class??

I'd like to see something like this instead of a team making the playoffs with a 1-9 record only to be thrashed.

What about the 2-8 Stratford team that made the semi in 3A last year only to lose in overtime??

They need to just seed 1 to 16 in the East and West and stop the region stuff. It’s the playoffs. If a team has to travel so be it.

No accurate way to do that unless teams played all across the state

I’m pretty sure you can divide the state into East and West. North Carolina does and sometimes a team has a long trip depending on how it gets divided.Its 4:45hrs from Roan Mtn to Nashville.It looks like most Nashville schools get put in the East. So how much traveling would a school really have to do.

I think the majority of Nashville schools go west. Cane ridge, Pearl Cohn, Stratford, White’s creek, Hillsboro, Overton, East Nashville, Republic and several others go west. I know Maplewood  goes east and maybe 1 or 2 more but not many.

Sorry meant West for the Nashville schools. Just had East in my head.
