If I were Humboldt's Principal and the coach scheduled Peabody and Milan, I'd fire him. The ideal schedule should have two or three games that you're more than likely not going to win, four or five that are pretty evenly matched,  and a couple or three that you should win. You shouldn't schedule teams that you will probably beat by fifty, and you NEVER schedule teams that should beat you by fifty. Nobody learns anything in those lopsided games, other than the bench gets some game time. If you go 0-10 the year prior, you look for wins if you can find them... I'm not talking about coaches trying to pad stats here either... I'm talking about building confidence and excitement within the program.

Bingo. And I feel Humboldt lost Friday but had a great showing. They are slowly starting to get their feet under them. Storied program. Hope they can get it back.

Funny enough BigEd, but I do too. I have made it no secret how I felt about the way that Bland was "let go", and that I relished what Humboldt's administration has reaped from it. Shame that the kids have had to endure the rewards that treachery and treason have brought, because they have suffered more from it than those responsible ever could, and weren't at fault.

They only won one game last year and they have a new coach who came from oakhaven I believe

I heard from a humboldt coach that y’all wouldn’t play them in basketball. I heard that come from the hourses mouth.
