the reason this was mentioned is 1. its true. 2. its a forrest thread. you are free to grace whatever non top 5 team's thread u cheer for, and 3. we have been discussing all year how thin we are. we dress perhaps the smallest team in 2a and are smaller than many 1a teams. several of our best older kids are out. it matters. and this doesnt happen to every team.

other than that, i defer back to your superiority and ask forgiveness from you, keeper of all that is sovereign here on the T

If Forrest loses to Cascade injuries or no injuries you don't deserve to be in top 10. TC beat Cascade with back up QB. Cascade isn't a good team at all Forrest should Blow out Cascade no matter who is injured.

I can agree with this statement. I think the General took an issue with if it's not a running clock we aren't a Top 10 team.  Everyone has injuries at this point but not every top 2A team is dressing 28 with their MVP, top defensive player, and key offensive lineman out. We have 10 guys going both ways; in a close game we would only play 14-15 kids.

Plus, our region championship game is the following week so hopefully our coaches err on the side of caution and look at the big picture. Finally, these kids have been playing each other in football since they were 4. Lots of tradition and rivalry in this game where we will likely get a more motivated team than TC did.

When is TC's #6 coming back, hope he's healthy for a playoff run. Kid can fly!

As for kids playing both ways TC whole team and starters play both ways that should never be an issue. But I understand it's hard to have depth at 2A and not have a big drop off quickly TC has depth this year. I get it with a rivalry game you throw out the stats and records. But Cascade isn't a good team at all I think they had 2 first downs the whole game against TC and the General is always saying TC isn't a good team and that we live to pass success that's why Forrest gets so much smack talk from TC fans. We really don't know if he will be back hopefully by. 2 or 3 round or it could be next season or he could never play football again. But like they say next man up the backup QB is doing a good job managing the game but we miss #6 speed he added a different element to the offense. Luckily TC wing back #2 he steps up and has been a monster running the ball with a 97-yard run and has at least 5 or more 50+ yard runs since 6 went down.

Sounds like Cascade should win by two touchdowns to this depleted team. I thought this was a Cascade-Forrest post not a TC-Forrest.

Since this is not a region game, I say rest all of the starters. Take the L if need be. Come prepared and well rested for LC and get the mindset ready for the playoffs. Forrest has done a lot with very little this season. I for one am impressed with the turn around. Would not have expected it watching them in the spring. It is a long arduous road to the state championship which is the only place you would meet TC. Focus on the now and worry about the later if and when it comes. Much easier to have the road to the state championship come through chapel hill than having to hit the road and play in a hostile environment.

Forrest has TC's fans' attention. Don't kid yourself. They arent used to anyone even addressing them, much less questioning them. They cant even quote me accurately. You'd think they are proud of their record. Instead they come across as sensitive, insecure, and melodramatic

Forrest will only have TC attention if you'll beat Peabody and TC and Forrest face-off in Cookville until then the only thing TC fans care about is eating Jackson Co and coming out the game healthy.

I talk to Coach Stephenson yesterday.   We'll be broadcasting from Chapel Hill next week for that Lewis County game.   Should be a good one.  Hopefully you guys have most of your kids back.

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
