Lol. Yes they are. You must have talked to Reitz.

Maybe from the other end too. I was aiming to ask about him last night from someone I trust, and got "beat to the punch"... just asked if I recognized the name and grinned. Short conversation later, and he thinks your guy and the DC are in, and he's high on the potential at Milan. No way his information came from here, your guy is probably using his contacts to feel out your program.

In no particular order names I have heard mentioned:

Smith

Woolf

Ward

McConnell

Rang

Vowell

A few more just to get people thinking/talking:

Gaddis

Swenson

Morris(could he be coaxed out of retirement?)

Woods

Did I miss any?

If Morris will come back then get him! Is he interested? If Rang is interested, I'd interview him and put him on a short list for sure. He's worth a call and I'd call him soon to let him know you're interested.  Not sure Swenson would leave but he's worth a call for sure!  The long shot and this may be farfetched is Gaddis. If I could get him I would. He's a tone setter and completely changes the culture immediately. He did that here in Trenton even though it was only one short year. He creates a certain mindset and kids love playing for him. I have friends in Paris who have witnessed this as well. The success here in Trenton and the current success in Henry County both started with him and it's not a coincidence. I wasn't happy when he left but I love what he did when he was here.  He has done this everywhere he has been. He's had success in West TN, Middle TN, and East TN. The guy has over 300 wins and is in the Hall of Fame. Maybe he doesn't want to move again and maybe he doesn't want to coach much longer but I'd call him today and find out. Start with Morris and if he says no, then go to Gaddis. If he says no, I'd have to call Rang. Everyone will have an opinion and this is mine.

Wouldn’t blame him at all. There are some negatives but they are far outweighed by the positives.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
