This was a tremendous high school football game.  Covington is much better than I thought they were.  #7 returning to their lineup was a huge shot in the arm for their team.  I really thought Covington was going to win this football game on three different occasions tonight.  Pearl-Cohn's semifinal ghosts were laid to rest tonight and they prevailed against a very good opponent from West-TN.  #3, #7, and #64 were all huge for the Firebirds tonight.  

The Pearl-Cohn Firebirds sit at 14-0 heading to Cookeville and have a date with destiny next Friday afternoon.  Everyone has always wanted to see them play Alcoa on this stage for so long and the time has finally arrived.

Covington ends PCs season next week. Really thought Giles would get them but Convington will move on to face the F5.

that song turned out to be for Covington. How does it feel to hate two weeks in a row and lose?
