If I was Springfield I’d pray for rain might slow Haywood down a little. The jackets seem to perform pretty well in a mud hole.  This will be a heck of a game. Will this be on the radio so I could tune it in?

Springfield has someone that does a Facebook broadcast of our games. They can’t stream the video of the playoff games but they are doing audio broadcasts. Search for Social Dweebs Springfield Football on YouTube or Facebook. You can watch some of our previous games on the YouTube channel. Sadly we have no hometown radio station doing our games anymore. What we have isn’t bad though.

Our field won’t improve much from what it was against Hardin if the forecast holds true.

It's Brownsville radio, so the announcers will be partial to Haywood, but you should be able to hear an audio stream at:

www.brownsvilleradio.com or http://tncitylinktv.com/channel/brownsville-tv/

Here is the link to Social Dweebs. They do a good job but they will be “homers” for the Jackets.  The broadcasters are a formal SMS HC and an all-state player we had.

    • Glen Morton was the announcer for WGAP.
    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
