Well no he didnt technically retire but he gave up his reigns as a high school dominant coach. But as anyone else would love to just be named head coach to a dynasty such as he left behind. He left behind a high school program he built and a division he owned. Hunt has yet to have his own 4 year players.

But his juniors are 41-3 I think. With 2 state titles.

Yes I do, it's running out of room though... lol

I did notice today that our trophy case was missing a bunch of silver balls to go with the hild ones. Wonder where Coulter's keeping those things??

That turd told me to shut up.. I cant help it maryville and Alcoa dominate because they can stack there team .  People know how high school football teams look. And they dont all have everyone going to play college ball. It's ok people... just admit I'm right. These 2 teams attract the best in Tennessee I get that. But in the post about about how east dominated west. Do you really believe geographicall location has anything to do with who wins and losses... we all know the east just gets by with more.

You got proof? Then turn em in, TSSAA would gladly bust them for it, they are no friend to Blount Co. Still enjoying that heaping serving of crow courtesy of Dyer Co?

The east just has better coaches, it's pretty simple.

I'm from the west, and I endorse this message. Nobody from the east has talent to match the Memphis schools... Almost the entire Whitehaven team were offered schollys a few years back, with 9 DI signee's in one graduating class!!! Maryville beat 'em on the field with far less talent because they executed like a pro team.

Last I'll speak of this topic, but you think if we were cheating that we would have been caught by now???

So yall say its 100% because you have the best coaches? Are you telling me these coaches could take one of these team that went 0-10 and whip them into shape to compete like maryville and Alcoa does? To win every year just isnt really possible playing only kids who started peewee football in that town. Every normal team has high seasons and low seasons.  That's why the west sends different teams to state almost every year. East it's the same couple teams. We may have been born at night but it wasnt last night.

I can tell you which youth team almost every single one of them played for be it Rick Maples and his Bears club or Don Sentell and his Rebs organization. So yes, they almost all came from Maryville's youth football teams.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
