Glaring different.  We didn’t have the need.  It does help ALOT but different than GB.  These guys had starting positions on lockdown at Hixson, so it wasn’t because they were benched or didn’t want to share their position duties with someone else.  So stay mad Indian.

I’ve saw the last few SP / Greenback meeting. There was a need. We need a few too :roflol:

That and also some other areas needed suring up!I don't think there will be an issue this year.SP will have better talent but GBs coaching may keep them in it if they meet again.

I hate to say it, and I respect Coach Grider and I believe the feeling is mutual, but I can’t help to wonder if GB’s Coach has his number.  I’m just one of those guys that if I coached it would be like Union City did us a couple times and how Lake County did GB this year...run the same play over and over until they stop it. If they do stop it, then dig a little deeper, and run it again with more authority.  Maybe we should have ran Raulston until his shoes come off in 2017, and maybe we should have ran Cooper this year until they stopped him then countered with Tipton.  I’m no coach and I don’t pretend to be so if a coach calls me or texts me and says this is why we couldn’t, then I will say yes sir that’s why you are the coach(es).  But from the bleachers it always looks different because mostly all we see is the end result, not the cogs that make it work.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
