Green Hills Principal told me they were playing a varsity schedule this fall.  He stated that they were trying to buy into a schedule of a school that dropped football.

Only school I can think of around here would be Red Boiling Springs. I think I remember hearing where they might drop football due to numbers. I could be wrong though.

The Principal is Kevin Dawson and I remember the school dropping football starting with a W.  Coach Link is the new RBS head coach so I know they are planning on a 2020 season

Thanks LTCB. That is good for RBS. I know there was something in the paper about them forfeiting a game due to injuries and low numbers. Guess that is cleared up now. Is the school you are referring to in metro. I know I read on one of the boards that there was a school rumored to be dropping football but I never heard anything else about it.

RBS, though small, has a football following.  I know there was talk about them consolidating into Macon Co but those people reject that idea.  I cannot see them dropping football.  
 

I am still curious as to whom it could be.

Pickett County has always struggled withnumbers. At one time they had 2 girls playing on the team and a woman finishing up the season as coach. PC is a basketball school. They play their football games on a terrible baseball field with no lights on one end. They have talked about scrapping the program for years.

I’d rather just get this over with now, but it’s tough to have it happen with so much promise for next season. A plentiful amount of young talent wasted away to a new school that I couldn’t care less about. Hopefully Coach TP can make sure we get our QB back. Kid is a stud.
