It is interesting to note that Trezevant actually has the most title game appearances, most playoff wins and best playoff win percentage in the decade.  And they are only 5th on the list. Also it says a lot that 4 of the top 5 teams on the list are from west TN.

I’m guessing since all that with the coach and the move to 3A made it that way. That says a lot about the ball in West TN...usually if you win rounds 3 or 4 you win the gold ball in 2A in some years in West TN.

I totally forgot about 2010 and 2011 playoff years, they weren’t anything special as I believe we had a losing record each year

They shouldn’t be on the list at all

Interesting thing about Peabody in the last 10 years.

In 2010 they lost 6 games and in 2011 they lost 7 games.

2012-2019 only lost 20 games

6 times they made it to the final 8 teams

4 times to the final 4 teams with three of those ending in a state championship.

2015, 2016, 2017 Trenton was put out by the eventual state champion. Two of those years the champion would dominate and win by multiple touchdowns. (Nashville Christian 2015 and Dresden 2016)

2010 team had the talent to do something that year, coaching failed. 6-6 team should’ve been 7-3 regular season.

2011 team was one of the worst teams to come through, as kids weren’t motivated to play for the skip in charge and we cleaned house afterwards.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
